Two years of gradual creation and aging: To guarantee that this massive piece remains stable in the demanding environment of a bathroom for generations, it underwent an extremely delicate journey. The actual production and carving were intertwined with the natural drying and aging of the wood for a full 2 years. We shaped the solid wood gradually, step by step, in harmony with how the wood worked, breathed, and released its internal tension. Thanks to this slow and respectful process, we achieved absolute dimensional stability.
Sculptural mastery and sea mysticism: The dominant feature of this majestic, over 15-kilogram colossus is a precise, hand-carved 3D sculpture of mermaids. Natural cracks that gradually formed during the two-year aging process were artistically filled with clear cast resin, turning them into a striking design highlight. The entire piece proudly bears our exclusive, hand-cast pewter VS signature.
Indestructible protection: For absolute water resistance and a brilliant high-gloss finish, the wood is deeply impregnated and treated with multiple layers of premium marine varnish. The sink sits securely on a unique, hand-forged base, which further accentuates its monumentality.
